just being
There are times when I recognize how important it is to accept help. We are all in this together. We need to help each other up so we can move forward in our lives. Yes, It was amazingly productive to find all of this in the music… or rather let the cadence notes speak to me. The bird’s eye view gives you the ability to reach higher ground.

This part of the music reminded me to turn around and look from a distance to reorient myself.
My high school Latin teacher. made this recommendation. She shared her dismay and sadness as she prepared to provide care for her mom who was dying from cancer .and had to leave teaching to care for her mom. She explained how difficult it was, but knew she could get through it by reflecting and gaining a more global perspective.

When I asked what t inspired his heartfelt instrumental music was, he said he was exploring the idea of the ”imprints” that people make on you as you travel through your life. I was intrigued by the idea that we leave our touch on each person with whom we connect. Each small interaction can be transformative - or destructive.

I agreed to design a cover for a musician. When I asked what the heartfelt instrumental music was inspired by, he said he was exploring the idea of the ”imprints” that people make on you as you travel through your life. While listening, I was so intrigued. I created a series of six drawings to be interpreted in solarplate etchings. The musician is my son. Justin Morgan Williams. He named this series “vendryes,” my middle/ maiden name. You will find it on Spotify, iTunes, and Apple!
