wrapped in clouds

from $1,280.00

solar plate etching

22.25 x 30 in (56.52 x 76.2 cm)

circa june 2018

inv. #940

This work is from the "water series", exploring the importance of water in its transformations. Cloud imagery keeps popping up in both my prints and my paintings!

The Solarprint technique used in this print is eco friendly because it is exposed to the sun and developed using only water. It is printed by hand on 100% cotton paper.

I began this series by researching water and how its quality and availability are pivotal to our lives and our earth. My awareness of clouds developed organically, evolving from beauty, with the concept of water droplets that bring rain, and shade to us as part of the earth's natural cycle. Clouds appeared to reorganize the architecture of the sky, like a living sculpture.

with frame + museum acrylic glazing $1500
