wall of clouds

$480.00

solar plate etching

12.5 x 20 x 1.5 in (31.75 x 50.8 x 3.81 cm)

framed 15 x 22 x 1.5 in

circa 2017

inv. #944

Traveling on the highway in upstate new york, we were confronted by a huge wall of dark clouds. They looked dangerous, looked like they were going to rumble over us as we ran into them! But the sky gradually transformed into a warm sun embraced by bluebell skies! Hope was in the air, and we kept moving on to celebrate!

I began this series by researching water and how its quality and availability are pivotal to our lives and our earth. My awareness of clouds developed organically, evolving from beauty and deepening to water droplets that bring rain, and shade to us as part of the earth's natural cycle of life. They were energetically reorganizing the architecture of the sky, like a living sculpture.
