Why do I paint nature? I am often stopped in my tracks by the way sunshine spreads sparkling jewels over the leaves and grass. The sky becomes a new painting every day, with clouds moving in blue at the will of the air. I am in awe of the optimistic spirit of plants and trees to take root, reach up toward the sun, and be nurtured by the rain. And we are the caretakers and recipients.
