I am amazed at the sculptural beauty of lettuce and its fragile but life-sustaining gift of wellness. The ritual of rinsing and drying in preparation gives me time to reflect on the tiny seed that began its very being! I can only feel gratitude for the teamwork of the sun, earth, and water that created this beauty!
I have come to view these day moments as “everyday fragments” of life.
So many times, I can sometimes be too busy to stop and acknowledge this gift. I usually drop everything and take a photo make a journal sketch to honor the moment. So many times, they inspire me to paint. This is such a moment!
