Watercolor lays in glazes over the graphite structure, changing as my vision picks up overlapping nuances. I am intrigued by the tension between the objects and the space that allows us room to breathe and see the energetic movement more clearly.

This noble tree feels like a steadfast guardian, as it has always been an energetic presence in our backyard. I can feel the energy, so strong and beautiful, and can't help but be inspired to capture it. Its beingness has become a refuge for me.
