Inspirations…I notice everyday things can be so beautiful, but often not noticed due to more “important “ things. I look to Cezanne for his delicate and sensitive renderings of fruits, using his searching lines and transparent color to paint their essence
Pulling the scallions out of the cotton bags each week after we pick up our fresh veggies from CSA , brings tears to my eyes. Each vegetable has been nurtured and celebrated as an integral part of respecting the earth itself. The fresh crispness and flavor only enhance the idea of walking gently and simply on the earth. ( p.s. I recall my Dad calling us 7 kids his “little rapscallions”, which meant we were all rather mischievous! )
